Oneblock Online

Your Island

Create, visit, lock and manage your island, from /is commands to deletion.

Your island is a private sky plot that starts as a single OneBlock on a small grass platform. Almost everything about it is managed from the Island tab of the Server Menu (hotbar slot 9), or with /is.

A brand-new island: the stone OneBlock on a 3x3 grass platform

Create a fresh island and stay on it before breaking anything. Daytime, third person (front view), camera slightly above and about 5 blocks away so the 3x3 grass platform, the stone OneBlock in the centre and its hologram are all visible against the sky. Hide chat.

Creating your island

  1. 1

    Open My Islands

Server Menu > Island > My Islands, then tap Create New Island. You can also type /is create [name].

  2. 2

    Name it

The Create Island form has one field, Island Name. Leave it blank to get "<your name>'s Island".

  3. 3

    Wait for it to load

You wait briefly in the holding area while the island is built, then you're placed on it.

  4. 4

    Start breaking

You begin with a stone OneBlock on a 3x3 grass platform. The first breaks follow a short starter sequence, then Phase 1 (Plains) begins. See The One Block.

Island names

  • 1 to 32 visible characters.
  • Colour codes (§) only work for colours whose Chat Color you own. Any other code gives a formatting error.
  • Renaming is done from Island Settings > Rename Island or /is rename <name>.

Island slots

Each slot holds one island, whether you own it or are just a member of it. Your rank adds slots:

RankBonusTotal slots
Default—2
Hero+13
Paladin+24
Champion+35
Demigod+46
  • With no free slot you get the Out of Island Slots! popup, both when creating an island and when accepting an invite.
  • If your rank runs out, islands in slots above your new total show as (Locked). You can't switch to them until you have the slots again; nothing is deleted.
  • See Ranks for everything else ranks unlock.

My Islands

My Islands lists every slot ("Islands: x/y"). A rank slot you don't have yet shows as Locked Rank Slot.

  • Tap an island to see its name, your role, members, level and whether it's active.
  • Switch to this Island makes it your active island and takes you there.
  • Leave this Island asks you to confirm. Owners don't get this button; they must transfer ownership first.
  • Create New Island appears when you have a free slot.
  • Remove Broken Slot only appears on a slot with no island linked to it, and frees that slot.

Your active island

/is commands, member-slot purchases and Island Quests all act on your active island. Change it with /is switch <name|#> or from My Islands.

My Islands with two islands and a Locked Rank Slot

On a Default-rank account that owns one island and is a member of another, open Server Menu > Island > My Islands. The list must show both islands plus at least one 'Locked Rank Slot' row and the 'Islands: x/y' header. Full form, no hover.

Homes and island spawn

Homes are named teleport points. Use /sethome [name] and /home [name], or open Set and Manage Homes from the Teleport tab. Your home limit is per player, across all islands:

RankMax homes
Default1
Hero5
Paladin10
Champion15
Demigod25
  • Home names are 1 to 16 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, _ and -.
  • Tap a home to Teleport, Rename, Change Color, Move Here or Delete it.
  • Homes on other islands are listed separately; travel to that island first to teleport to or move them.
  • The island spawn is where members arrive and where they return after falling into the void.

Island Settings as owner

As island owner, open Server Menu > Island > Island Settings. All buttons from Rename Island to Delete Island must be visible.

public/images/oneblockonline/wiki/your-island/island-settings.png

Visiting and public warps

  • Public Warps (/warps, or Server Menu > Teleport > Public Warps) lists islands that chose to be shown. Sort by Most popular (all time, 1d, 7d, 30d, 3mo), Newest or Oldest. Hover a warp to see its name, island, visitor count and description.
  • Browse Islands lists islands that are recruiting.
  • Teleport requests take you to a player wherever they are.

Listing your own island

  1. 1

    Turn it on

Island Settings > Public Warp Settings: switch on Show this island in public warps, then fill in Warp name, Describe your island and pick a Warp icon.

  2. 2

    Set the arrival point

Stand where visitors should land and tap Set Public Warp Location (or /setpublicwarp).

  3. 3

    Advertise

Announce Public Warp posts "[PUBLIC WARP] name / description" to chat. It has a 2-minute cooldown.

Note

The warp list refreshes every 10 minutes, so a newly listed island can take a little while to appear.

Public Warps sorted by popularity, with a warp's hover card

Open /warps at a busy time so there are several warps. Open the Sorts dropdown or select 'Most popular (7d)', and hover one warp so its card (warp name, island name, visitor count, description) shows.

public/images/oneblockonline/wiki/your-island/public-warps.png

Controlling visitors

By default visitors can walk around and use doors, trapdoors and fence gates, and nothing else. You can loosen that per role under Role Permissions > Visitor, or only in certain areas with Permission Zones.

ToolHowNotes
LockIsland Settings > Lock Island, or /is lockKeeps every visitor out; members still come and go
Kick/is kick <player>Ejects a visitor who is on your island
Ban/is ban <player> [1d|7d|perm] [reason]Ejects them and keeps them out; no duration = permanent
Unban/is unban <player>Lifts the ban

Members can't be banned; kick them from the team instead. A visitor who falls off lands at the public warp location, or the island spawn if none is set.

Visitor limits

How many visitors can be on an island at once depends on the island owner's rank. Members don't count.

Owner rankMax visitors at once
Default4
Hero6
Paladin8
Champion10
Demigod12

No more than 21 players can be on one island in total. A full island replies "That island is full right now."

Island chat

A private channel for everyone in your island team. It reaches members on any server.

/ic <message>Send one message to island chat (also /islandchat)
/icSwitch your channel to Island, so everything you type goes there
/chat channel island|localSwitch channels

You can also tap Chat Channel: Local/Island at the top of the Island tab. Messages look like [IslandName] Player: message. More in Chat.

Loading, saving and unloading

  • Going to an island that isn't loaded puts you in a quiet holding area with a Loading... title and a progress bar. You're placed on the island as soon as it's ready.
  • Islands save automatically every 20 minutes and whenever the last player leaves.
  • An empty island unloads about 30 seconds after everyone leaves (a little longer for bigger islands).
  • If a save ever fails, you're held off the island while it retries, then welcomed back.

Nothing runs while you're away

When an island is unloaded, its spawners, minions, hoppers, machines and crops all stop. There is no offline catch-up, so plan farms around the time someone is on the island.

Leaving or deleting an island

Members can leave from Leave this Island, My Islands, or /is leave. Owners must transfer ownership first (see Team & Permissions).

Deleting your island

  1. 1

    Open Delete Island

Island Settings > Delete Island. Only the owner (Leader) sees it.

  2. 2

    Read both warnings

The island is removed permanently and all members are removed from it. The second warning explains the quest cooldown below.

  3. 3

    Type the island name

Enter the exact island name to confirm. A wrong name cancels the deletion.

7-day island quest cooldown

Deleting an island starts a 7-day cooldown. Any island you create during that time has no daily or weekly island quests until it ends, for everyone on it. Your other existing islands keep their quests.

There is no reset button: to start over, delete and create a new island. Homes on a deleted island show as "Deleted island" in your Homes list.

The 7-day island quest cooldown warning shown before deletion

On a throwaway test island you own, open Island Settings > Delete Island and continue to the second screen titled '7-DAY ISLAND QUEST COOLDOWN'. Capture that screen, then cancel. Do NOT confirm the deletion.
