The One Block & Phases
Every phase, block chance and chest, plus Set Phase, extra OneBlocks and the Mover.
The OneBlock is the single block your island floats on. Break it and a new block appears in the same spot a moment later, forever. What appears depends on your phase, a biome-style stage that changes as you keep mining.

On a freshly created island (Plains, 0/100 progress), daytime, third person. Stand about 4 blocks back and slightly below so the OneBlock and the full hologram above it are both readable. No other players and no items on the ground.

Breaking the OneBlock
- Mine it like any block. It drops its normal loot, so Fortune and Silk Touch work. Drops land on top of the OneBlock.
- A new block rolls in a moment later. If you were standing on it, you're put back on top so you never fall into the gap.
- You need the island Break permission to mine it. Visitors without it can't. See Island Team.
- Every break counts toward your phase, your OneBlock Mastery (Masteries), island quests and your profile's OneBlock breaks.
- Minions placed next to it mine it for you, and their breaks count toward the phase too. See Minions.
- Sometimes a Lucky Block replaces the next block. See Lucky Blocks.
- No mobs spawn from the OneBlock. It only gives blocks and chests.
Falling blocks need support
Sand, gravel, concrete powder, flowers, bamboo, cactus, dripstone, snow layers, lily pads and similar blocks need a solid block under the OneBlock. Without one, that roll turns into Stone. Your starting island has bedrock underneath, so this only matters after you move a OneBlock or place an extra one.Your first 31 breaks
A new OneBlock always starts with the same short intro before random rolls begin. These breaks count toward Plains.

- If you've set the OneBlock to an older phase, the hologram says Selected and warns that mining here won't add progress.
- Island members also see the furthest OneBlock's progress bar on the sidebar.
- You can hide the hologram per OneBlock from Manage OneBlock (below).
OneBlock chests
About 1 in 100 breaks rolls a loot chest instead of a block. The chest appears in the OneBlock's spot, filled from that phase's loot table.
- Open it and take the items, then break the chest to roll the next block.
- Each phase has several chest types. You always get every item listed for the chest type you rolled.
- You can't break the chest while someone else has it open.
- The final phase, Dappled Forest, rolls chests about three times as often (3.1%).
- The OneBlock Chest Chance boost from the island quest Boost Shop raises the chest chance for 24 hours. See Island Quests.
A OneBlock that rolled into a loot chest, opened
Mine a OneBlock until it becomes a chest (the OneBlock Chest Chance boost speeds this up). Open the chest so all its contents are visible and take the screenshot with the chest UI open. A mid-game phase like Ocean or The Nether looks best.

Phase progression
- Each OneBlock tracks its own progress. Reach a phase's break target and it moves to the next phase.
- Every online island member sees Phase Unlocked! You've reached the X phase! with a sound and fireworks.
- Phases don't pay items or money directly. The reward is the new phase's blocks and chests.
- Your island's phase is the highest phase any of its OneBlocks has reached. It never goes down.
- Dappled Forest (Phase 32) is the last phase and never ends.
Phase Skip
A Phase Skip special offer sometimes appears. It instantly completes the current phase of your furthest OneBlock. It doesn't work in the final phase. See Store.All 32 phases
Unlocks at is the total number of breaks on one OneBlock. Breaks in phase is how many more you need to move on. Phase numbers match the in-game Phases screen.

The Phases screen
The Phases screen is a reference book of every phase, including ones you haven't reached.
/phasesOpen the Phases list/phases <phase>Jump straight to one phase, for example /phases the_nether- Also in the Server Menu > Island tab > OneBlock Phases, or from Manage OneBlock.
- Tap a phase to see each block with its chance, plus a Chest row.
- Tap Chest to see every item that phase's chests can hold and how likely one chest is to contain it.
- You can't choose what to mine here. That's done with Set Phase.

Open `/phases the_nether`. Scroll so several block rows with their "% chance" and the Chest row are visible.

Manage OneBlock and Set Phase

Open Manage OneBlock
Sneak and use (right-click or tap) the OneBlock twice quickly. The first tap tells you to do it again. You need the island Build permission.

Pick an option
OneBlock Phases opens the Phases list. Set Phase opens the phase picker. Hide Hologram / Show Hologram toggles this OneBlock's hologram.

Choose a phase
In Set OneBlock Phase, tap any phase from Plains up to the highest this OneBlock has reached. Your current choice is marked (current). The block re-rolls from that phase straight away.
Older phases don't add progress
While a OneBlock is set below its highest phase, its breaks don't count toward the next phase. They still count for Total Blocks Mined, Mastery XP and quests. Switch back to your top phase to keep advancing.- Use Set Phase to farm an older phase: Desert for sand, Dungeon for ores, The Nether for Ancient Debris.
- Phase-specific island quests only count in that phase, so Set Phase is how you finish them.
The Manage OneBlock menu
On your own island, sneak and use the OneBlock twice to open Manage OneBlock. Show the whole menu: OneBlock Phases, Set Phase and Hide Hologram.

Extra OneBlocks
Every island starts with 1 OneBlock. Buy more in Island Upgrades > OneBlock, up to 4.

Money comes from the Island Bank, Orebits from the buyer, Quest Tokens from the island.
- Each purchase gives the buyer a OneBlock item to place. Its tooltip shows its phase and breaks.
- A new OneBlock starts at Plains with 0 breaks and the full intro. Every OneBlock progresses on its own.
- Place it on the island it came from, standing on your island with Build permission.
- Leave one block of space between a OneBlock and Sell Chests, Auto Craft Chests or Chunk Hoppers. See Island Tools.
- It can't go on the bottom layer of the world. Put a solid block under it for falling-block rolls.
- You can't pick a OneBlock back up. Breaking it just mines it. Use the OneBlock Mover to relocate it.

With several OneBlocks, keep one on your highest phase for progress and set the others to the older phases you want to farm.OneBlock Mover
The OneBlock Mover moves a placed OneBlock, with all its progress, to another empty spot on your island. You get one in the Starter Kit (see Kits & Daily Rewards), and it has unlimited uses.

Select the OneBlock
Hold the Mover and use it on a placed OneBlock. The actionbar asks where to move it.

Pick the spot
Aim at a block face up to 8 blocks away. A green outline previews the target cell.

Confirm
Use the Mover on that face. The OneBlock moves into the empty cell next to it. Switching items cancels the move.
- The target must be empty air on the same island, with no OneBlock already there.
- You can't move a OneBlock while it's a chest. Break the chest first.
- You need Build permission at both spots.
