Replays & Custom Games are out now

Two of the things we promised at launch are live right now.

When Bedwars launched we said Replay Mode and Custom Games were on the way. Both are out now. Every game you play is recorded, and you can host your own Bedwars with your own rules.

Replays

Every game in every mode is recorded automatically. A replay is the whole match, not one player's view, so you fly anywhere and watch anyone. That is over 10,000 games in the last 24 hours alone.

Run /replays to open your match history, or hit Watch Replay on the Game Stats screen after a game.

Inside a replay you get:

Rewind and Forward - jump back or ahead.

Slow Motion and Super Speed - any speed from 0.1x to 3x.

Free camera - fly anywhere, straight through blocks.

Players - teleport to anyone and check their inventory, health and effects.

Every replay has a 5 character Share Code. Give it to anyone and they can watch with /replays <code>, even if they were not in the game. Favourite a replay and it is kept forever.

Custom Games

Run /cs create in the Bedwars lobby and you get your own lobby, Bedwars or Lucky Bedwars. Press Start Game and play as many rounds as you like. Free for everyone to host, no rank needed.

Games are Invite Only by default, so use /cs invite <player>. Switch Game Privacy to Open and anyone can join with /cs join <your name> or find you in /cs list.

What you can change

Everything is under Game Settings:

Game Type - Solos, Duos, Squads or Lucky Bedwars, switch any time.

Game Map - Map Voting, Random Map, or pick one map.

Set Teams - put each player on a team colour yourself.

Bedwars Settings - Team Generator Speed (0.5x to 3x) and Drops (1 to 5 items), Diamond & Emerald Speed (0.5x to 4x) and Diamonds and Emeralds per Drop (1 to 8), Generator Upgrade Timing, Shop Prices (Free, or 0.25x to 3x), Weapons, Armour, Tools and Potions & Utility shop sections on or off, Starting Armour (Leather to Diamond), Beds on or off.

Lucky Bedwars Settings - loot chances for Blocks, Weapons, Armour, Tools, Food, Utility, Mob Eggs and Other Items, Items per Lucky Block (1 to 5), Block Stack Size (1 to 64), Lucky Block Respawn (Instant to 10 seconds), Bed Distance (8 to 40 blocks), Beds on or off.

Game Rules - Sudden Death (off, or 2 to 20 minutes), Game Length (10 to 60 minutes), Respawn Time (0 to 15 seconds), Fall Damage (Off, Reduced or Full), Natural Regeneration, Time of Day.

Game Misc - Horizontal and Vertical Knockback (0 to 10), Attack Delay (0 to 20 ticks, 0 is no hit cooldown), Critical Hits, Player Sizes (0.1x to 3x), Max Hearts (1 to 100), Destroyable Map.

Game Effects - any of 18 potion effects on every spawn, level 1 to 10, from 15 seconds up to the whole game.

Game Presets - Save Preset stores your whole setup under a name and a 5 character code. Anyone can load it with Load Preset By Code and gets their own copy. Featured Presets are picked by the team. The shots above are the "Giants and Speed" preset.

Custom games never touch your stats, XP or BattlePass. They are still recorded, so watch them back in /replays.

Reset Everything - back to a default game in one press.

What your rank gets you

Default - replays kept 3 days, 10 favourites, 10 minutes hosting per 24h, 1 saved preset.

Hero - replays kept 3 days, 50 favourites, 20 minutes hosting per 24h, 1 saved preset.

Paladin - replays kept 7 days, 100 favourites, 60 minutes hosting per 24h, 3 saved presets.

Champion - replays kept 30 days, 100 favourites, 120 minutes hosting per 24h, 5 saved presets.

Demigod - replays kept 180 days, 250 favourites, unlimited hosting, 25 saved presets.

The highest ranked player in a game sets how long that replay is kept for everyone in it. Only time inside a running round counts as hosting time, the lobby is free.
