MegaSMP Season 3!

It is once again time for MegaSMP to reset. MegaSMP will be entering its 3rd season with tons of huge updates and changes for an even better gameplay experience!

MegaSMP season 3 is not just a simple reset. This season will bring various major changes, which you can read more about below.

The top 5 richest players, killers, highest prestige players, duel winners, and team leaders will become legends on MegaSMP Season 3. Winners selected July 15th 2PM EST.

PvP Update and better Anti-Cheat

With season 3, MegaSMP will be switching from Java-style to Bedrock PvP. This means no more attack cooldowns, much smoother combat, better inventory handling, and no more glitching and getting stuck on different blocks. This is a major change to combat on MegaSMP and is something we will continue to actively fine-tune in order to provide the best possible PvP experience.

We will also be introducing a brand new Anti-Cheat for MegaSMP season 3. This is a huge improvement from our current one and will significantly reduce the number of cheaters.

MegaSMP will also be updated to a newer version, which means that spears will finally be available to fight with!

Duel Updates

A couple of new features and fixes will be coming to duels on MegaSMP. Most notably:

A 2v2 mode will be added where you can queue up with another player to fight against another team. There will be both ranked and unranked versions with keep inventory enabled and disabled.

The sponge layers below the duel maps will be replaced with proper blocks to improve Crystal PvP.

You will be able to spectate any ongoing duels in real time. Scroll through all the active fights or search for a specific one to watch.

Pet Changes

There have been a lot of concerns about pet balance and how they get in the way of fighting. We are addressing both of these issues going into Season 3.

All pets will be rebalanced to make sure they make more sense on MegaSMP. Passive effects will no longer be as powerful. Pets will now also shrink significantly when getting into combat. This will ensure that the pets do not get in the way of your fighting.

We will also make sure that any new pets released on MegaSMP follow the same balance structure to make sure PvPing stays fun and fair.

New but Old Spawn

A highly requested change has been to revert back to the season 1 style spawn. We have taken in this feedback and gone with a much simpler, smaller, and square spawn for season 3. Just like in season 1, there will be exits on all 4 sides of the spawn leading into the PvP area. The PvP area will also be surrounded by an outer crystal PvP zone.

The spawn size has been reduced to make getting back into fights and navigating around much quicker. King of the Hill and Treasure Pond events will still be happening at spawn, with plans for new PvP events to be added in the near future.

Other Changes and Updates

Some other notable changes for MegaSMP Season 3 are:

• Increased view distance

• Addition of /tpauto for everyone. Let's you toggle if you wanna auto accept teleport requests.

• /sell will be available for all players (/sell all still requires a rank).

• Removing Hero rank requirement to mine spawners. All players will now be able to mine spawners.

• 1 additional player vault and 5 additional homes per rank.

• An increased number of homes from 1 to 3 for non-ranked players.

• Updated King of the Hill rewards

• More prestige miletsone rewards

• New night market items

• Increased build height limit in Crystal PvP zone.

Reset Vault Important Dates

Before we get into what is new, here is what you need to know about the reset:

• July 8th, 2:00 PM EST - Reset Vault opens. Start placing your items.

• July 15th, 2:00 PM EST - Reset Vault closes. This is your deadline to deposit items.

• July 31st, 2:00 PM EST - Reset Vault reopens so you can retrieve your items.

Use /resetvault to access it. Only items with "Reset Vault" or "Premium Item" in their lore are eligible. If an item does not have that tag, it cannot be stored. Do not wait until the last minute.

What will transfer over to this new server?

• Ranks, titles, wardrobe, pins, RVIs (bundle items like New Year sword), patron ranks, spend, gifting stats, extra purchased member slots, and rename.

• Any bundle item with Reset Vault or Premium Item in the lore

What will not transfer over?

• Anything not mentioned above. So teams, autocrafters, autochests, chunk hoppers, money, and inventories.

Access the reset vault by typing /resetvault in game or by clicking the button in the profile tab in the server menu.

NOTE! Any unintended items found inside reset vaults will be automatically removed.
